Surrounded by rainforest within the Tenorio Volcano National Park the Rio Celeste is one of Costa Rica’s most spectacular rivers. The rainforest also has one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful waterfalls and natural hot springs. Located in the northern reaches of the country, this river’s light blue color is the result of the mixing of sulphur and calcium carbonate.
